Delete your account
Two ways to do it. Both remove the same things.
This cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, your collection history is gone and cannot be restored, even if you install the app again with the same number.
Option 1 — from inside the app
- Open MyIndia Soundbox.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is scheduled for deletion straight away.
Option 2 — by email
If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, write to us and we will do it for you.
support@myindiasoundbox.com
Send the message from any address, with the subject Delete my account, and include the mobile number your account uses. We will confirm it is yours before deleting anything — usually by sending a one-time password to that number.
What gets deleted
- Your account and your mobile number.
- Your shop or business name and your language setting.
- Your payment history inside the app — every announced payment, its amount and its time.
- Any payment notification text still held for parser accuracy.
This is completed within 30 days of your request. Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle, which can take up to a further 30 days.
What we may have to keep
If the law requires us to retain certain records — for example to meet tax or anti-fraud obligations — we keep only the minimum required, only for as long as required, and we do not use it for anything else.
Deleting the app is not the same as deleting your account. Uninstalling stops the app running on your phone, but your account remains until you delete it using one of the two options above.
Just want the announcements to stop?
You do not have to delete your account for that. Turning off notification access for MyIndia Soundbox in your Android settings stops all reading and all announcements immediately, and leaves your collection history intact in case you want it back later.
